What makes a good builder?
The key to being a good builder consists of a variety factors outside the knowledge and experience of the trade. Most importantly, having a good relationship with the client and a close understanding of their requirements is crucial to exceeding customers’ expectations. Selecting a highly skilled team and motivating them to be creative and deliver a high quality performance is also vital to success.
What is the most interesting project you have been involved in?
The most challenging and rewarding project I managed was one of Mayfair’s exclusive and prominent residence in London. The heritage listed building which was originally Georgian stables, was transformed into a modern six bedroom luxury mansion, frequented by the rich and famous. The property boasted a unique vehicle turntable, underground lap pool, solid oak hand-carved bath, gymnasium, landscaped gardens, mansard roof, spiral staircase, private courtyards, industrial kitchen, cinema and the latest technology in home automation. This project was truly inspiring with its lavish design and unlimited possibilities. With an extremely high attention to detail the project was delivered on time and successfully. |

When was the last time you felt inspired?
As an experienced traveller, I am always amazed by the diversity between cultures and their way of living, building and style. In a recent trip to Barcelona, I was truly inspired to see the works of famous Spanish Architect Antoni Gaudi. His highly individual design of such famous buildings as the Sagrada Família and the Casa Batlló were amazing developments to study. His ability to develop iconic masterpieces with such creative flair is inspiring as a builder to know that construction can be limitless.
What would be the single most important indication that you have done a good job?
The clients’ satisfaction of our delivery is of utmost importance and the ultimate indication that we have done a good job. In my experience, I have obtained very high standards of delivering quality finishes. Previously working as a building inspector for the BSA (Building Services Authority), I am familiar with the Australian building codes and understand and respect their importance. I am thorough in my approach, have a high attention to detail and strive to exceed client’s expectations.
